Is Jackson Mahomes Gay? A look at Jackson’ sexuality

It’s probably not easy growing up under the shadow of Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. Jackson Mahomes, Patrick’s younger brother, can probably attest to that. However, despite the relative hardship, Jackson has created an identity outside of Patrick’s influence – the younger Mahomes is a social media star, with over a million followers across TikTok and Instagram.

Patrick recently defended Jackson after a video of him pouring water on a Baltimore Ravens fan went viral. The incident occurred after the Ravens defeated Patrick’s Chiefs 36-35.

Jackson Mahomes’ sexuality has been the subject of intense debate since he became a public figure.

Jackson Mahomes is not gay and insists that he’s attracted to girls

In his first YouTube video, Mahomes clarified that he is not gay and is attracted to girls.

He stated that he gets many questions about his sexuality because of his voice and his dances on TikTok. “I am not gay, I am attracted to girls and I think it is a really hurtful question,” Jackson said

“It’s kind of really disrespectful in my opinion to judge someone based on what they choose.”

Jackson points to his voice as the main reason why people assume that he is gay. He said that his voice is his biggest insecurity:

“My biggest insecurity is my voice. I hate hearing my voice. I got so much hate from it. I get so much judgement for my voice. Everyone automatically assumes, as soon as I start talking, ‘Are you gay?’”

Fan questions about Mahomes’ sexuality usually come with hate

Jackson Mahomes receives a lot of hate, especially from people questioning his sexuality. He reads a lot of what people post about him, but refrains from reacting to it.

“I just look at the positives,” Jackson said. ‘I cherish the good supporters, the good people, and my fans that love me for me.”

In his reaction to the video of Jackson pouring water on a Ravens fan, Patrick suggested that the fan said something hurtful that the video didn’t capture. Jackson probably had enough of the hate. Patrick said:

“Obviously, it’s something we don’t want to necessarily do. There were things that were said to him and Brittany [Patrick’s fiancée Brittany Matthews] that you don’t see on the clip. He’s been good at trying not to respond to that stuff. He takes a lot and he’s usually pretty good at it and he’ll learn from it and try to stay away from those people as best he can.”
